GSEA - Ghana Shea Employers Association

Eligibility

Membership shall be open to all legally recognized shea enterprises operating in Ghana. Members must adhere to the principles and objectives of GSEA.

Categories of Membership

Ordinary Members: Shea enterprises actively involved in production, processing, or trading.
Associate Members: Organizations and individuals who support the objectives of GSEA but are not directly involved in shea processing.
Honorary Members: Individuals or organizations recognized for their exceptional contributions to the shea industry.

Application & Admission

Applicants shall submit a completed membership application form to the Secretariat. The Executive Committee shall review and approve or otherwise, all applications subject to the Provisions for Membership. The successful applicant shall be admitted within two weeks of the Executive Committee’s decision.

Membership Fees & Dues

Every new applicant for membership shall pay GHC200.00 for application forms upon expression of interest to become a member. Each member shall pay an amount of GHC1200 as membership dues per annum and this payment must be made before the close of the 2nd quarter of each financial year. The application fee and annual membership dues will be fixed at the Annual General Meeting and will be reviewed whenever necessary. The application fee and annual membership dues will not be refundable on termination of membership. All fees paid by members shall be part of the general fund of the Association. All application fees and membership annual dues shall be paid to the Treasurer. Every member will receive an official receipt from the GSEA upon payment of any fee.
